Emily and I had our weekly long run today, which is now up to 24 miles, and it went relatively smooth considering that we both looked and felt like a local Schnucks Market!
We knew that we needed to be prepared and that was what we were going to be! So both of us stepped out of our car with our water belts in tow (shout out to Fuel Belt) along with 14 salt tabs, 6 fruit nuggets pack (which, by the way, are awesome) 4 packs of GU and 2 big packs of Sharkie Fruit snacks! I slightly resembled Martin Lawrence from Big Momma's House. Thanks goodness for our skirts(shout out to runningskirts.com), which is one of our sponsors, with their 500 pockets! We ran 7 miles in the dark and met up with some other friends for about 7 or 8 more, then we were on our own for the remaining miles. I am glad that we can actually stand each other, because if not, this would be a LOOOONNNGG race:)
We weathered the heat and humidity (gotta love summer in E'ville) for a 3 hour and 45 minute trip around the East side of Evansville. By the end of this adventure we should be able to navigate most of the city and will then not only be human grocery stores, but human GPS'!! We can already tell you where most of the best bathrooms in town are:)
Every week brings us a new adventure and I look forward to each and every one of them- and I plan to have Emily right there with me:)
Thanks for all your prayers and support!
