It is all Emily's fault!

There was an article about our 50 mile adventure in this past Saturday Courier and Press. I feel like the article was well written, but it did miss out on the charity part of our running and who we really are. We really decided to do Pace with Purpose so that we could help others and give more meaning to something we really enjoy. I really wanted to give back in to the community some way but never really knew how to get anything started, or rather was to scared to do anything and afraid of failure. Then along came Emily, little did I know that when I met her four years ago that she would be so instrumental in my life and my development as a Christian. I really can't say enough nice things about her- she is a great friend, motivator, comedian (sometimes without asking), athlete, the list goes on. This whole thing was really her brain child, I just jumped on for the ride. What a ride it has been! It has had a slow start, but really is picking up momentum now. She has really continued to work hard on making this club work and she puts in a lot of effort without ever complaining. I really feel blessed to have her in my life and I know that we were meant to be friends for a greater reason that we may not even know yet.

We are so excited to share this with the community and hope that we can continue to make a difference in other's lives along the way.

Thanks Emily, you are the best!

Elissa:)

p.s. she is such a good friend that I will even forgive her for all of her bathroom breaks:)

  1. Oh contrare, I complain A LOT! Typically about how far and fast you make me run. This whole ride has been a team effort and I would say all of the same things about you! Just in a more sacastic, mean way :)
