Ok.....today's run was really an uneventful 3 hours. We did have a change of scenery, we started on the east side and ran downtown by the river which was nice. There was a donut bank stop as usual and as always, Donut Bank delivered! Uneventful runs are really what you want, no stomach issues, no injuries, and no accidents involving moving vehicles or stationery truck trailer run ins (sorry Elissa, I had to mention that one). All in all, just more miles to cross off the calendar....nice.
The day for Team Pace with Purpose, however, was VERY eventful! I need a BIG shout out....B-I-G shout out to Jim Nolan of Gilles Cycling and Fitness!!!!!!! He first and foremost is AWESOME at his job. I have had numerous injuries over the years and once my feet found Jim my running days returned, THANK YOU! He truly looks at the whole picture when he fits you with running shoes. No special mats or machines or gadgets, he just knows his stuff and he has the resume (both running experience and shoe expert) to back it! If you run, he's your man to fit your shoes!
Today he called me to let me know that Brooks has decided to sponsor Team Pace with Purpose!!!!! I am sure he had to be very influential for this to happen and we appreciate it soooo much, as do our feet! We are now converts from Asics Kayanos to Brooks Trance and man oh man they feel good!!!!!
Remember.....Boys and Girls Club run on Aug 22nd, 8 am , Wesselman Park :
