It's Saturday night and I am beat! We are now in week 8 of 16 of this ultra training and I'm not going to lie....its tiring. Marathon training often left me feeling a little sore but this is a whole new level of stale legs! 65-80 mile weeks some days get the best of me. My best friends are now a foam roller and Biofreeze. Is that my new perfume?....yes it's called Menthol. Don't get me wrong this training has been a blast (if you like pain) for the most part. It's just those mornings after a long week where you don't want to get out of bed let alone run!
So after an attitude of BLAH this week I decided to post my pep talk to myself! The focus will no longer be on my tired legs or humid weather or the question of "how many more miles today?" No, my focus will be on the family we are helping throughout this process. It will be the example we are setting for our children. It will be the seeds we are planting as we share the meaning behind our organization.
So tommorrow morning when the alarm goes off I will get up with a smile. Remembering.......I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me - Phillipians 4:13
Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must.....but never give up!!!!!!!!!!
