Less than 1 month to go!!!!! I have never felt so nervous and so ready for a race. Ready in the fact that I am ready for it to be over :) The training itself has actually been really fun. Ok, let me rephrase that....really entertaining. If there is one constant in our training it would be laughter. Too bad it's not pace :) There is NO way I could do this alone. Comic relief with Elissa is the only thing that makes me forget that I can no longer feel my lower body! Well, that and the snacks! Just one more long run to go before our taper (insert choir of angels singing in the background here)!!! Honk if you see us on Saturday morning! We will be out there for 5-6 hours so there's a good chance you might :)
We are totally amazed at the outpouring response from our friends and family to help support our mission. We truly have put our hearts, prayers and bodies into raising support for this family. In the past 2 weeks we have raised slightly over $1300 through donations. WOW! We are training and praying to hit our goal of $5000. Thank you so much for your prayers, encouraging words, monetary support and letters.
