Prepping for our 6 HOUR RUN TOMORROW!!!! Extra shoes (check), vasoline (check), GU (check), extra socks (check), tylenol (check) AND
SUPER GLUE ????? (CHECK).
Below are instructions for fixing a blister before it's too late!!!!
Step 1
Remove your shoe and sock when you feel a blister forming. Wash the area thoroughly with soapy water. (ok so the soap thing is probably not going to happen)
Step 2
Sterilize a pin or needle (or safety pin )with alcohol or fire, and poke the side of the blister with the needle as close to the foot as possible.
Step 3
Squeeze out liquid from the inside of the blister by applying firm, even pressure to the top of the blister. Make sure to leave the skin intact.
Step 4
Open your Super glue and squeeze it over and around the blister. Cover the entire blister and several centimeters around it with Super glue.
Step 5
Wait 60 seconds to ensure the super glue is dry.
Step 6
Replace sock and hiking boot. Walk around a bit to ensure the foot feels OK before you continue running.
