Rolley Run 5k and Kids Dash
On January 31st Christy Rolley, of Newburgh, was involved in a tragic sledding accident. This accident fractured vertebrae T8 & T9 and has resulted in paralysis. She underwent a lengthy surgery on Feb 5th to repair the vertebrae and stabilize her backbone. She was released from Deaconess Hospital and transported to Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta for rehabilitation and therapy.
Christy is an amazing wife (to Randy Rolley) and mother of four children, William, Ellen, Isaac, and Sam. She is such a positive person and has remained strong through this battle. To quote Christy, " I am going to give this my BEST fight and I am confident that I am in the right place and I'm continuing to get stronger everyday." There is no doubt that she is a fighter and determined to come home strong.
The Rolleys need all our support and prayers during this time. Upon Christy's homecoming many accommodations will be necessary to make their home, transportation, etc., more accessible for her.
